Hi everyone,
Chapter 3 spoke about managing oneself, being able to identify how one works as a person and how they learn. basically to think deeper than just surface and to view the reasons why we think a certain way. Being able to see how one thinks and the reasons behind said thinking is a very valuable tool. it allows you to think further and in different ways than just have a one track mind set.
This chapter speaks about Myside Bias which is basically when someone uses their perspective to answer questions or topics. some people can not see the others side on any matter and they just a stuck in their own thinking. The second is Vividness Bias, which is when data or information is given to us in a vivid form we tend to look at those as facts rather than just a small piece of the puzzle. People tend to concentrate on that fact and don't think or look at the other ones because that one stood out more than the rest. The third is Framing Prejudice which is when you have decided to look a problem a certain way and that's the only way you will look at it. their is no changing anything or looking at it from a different perspective.
Chapter 4 really hit close to home because its about "Learning How To Embrace Failure," I have a really hard time when I fail at something. after reading this it has given me a positive perspective on lifting my self up after I have fallen. Doesn't matter how far I have fallen but to make sure that I pick myself up no matter what. I really like how it talks about being flexible and that its ok to be wrong as long as we learn from our mistakes and move forward without dwelling on them.
